When the FBI finally breached the 'Sanctuary' compound, the main villa was already an inferno.
Inside the master study, they found a charred body seated at the desk, wearing the cult leader's signature velvet smoking jacket. The medical examiner confirmed the dental records matched the family lineage. Case closed: The 'Architect' had gone down with his ship.
But Detective Miller can't stop looking at a photo taken at the perimeter checkpoint that day. It shows a trembling archive clerk driving a van full of 'holy texts' out of the gate. Miller had waved him through.
Now, looking at the clerk's hand on the steering wheel in the high-res photo, Miller realizes why the man was wearing heavy wool gloves in the middle of July. And he realizes that the body in the fire wasn't the Architect—it was just a rough draft.
