I finally secured a reservation at 'The Zenith', an impossibly exclusive restaurant serving only one guest a week. They promised a transcendent, five-day culinary journey. Day 1: Instead of dining, I was subjected to hours of intense hydrotherapy and massages. I argued that I was there to eat, but they insisted that physical purity and relaxed muscles were essential for the flavors to truly sing. Day 2: Still annoyed, I sat upright on a high barstool, elegantly using a silver fork to taste the first course: a vibrant, springy 'Pearl Tendon Carpaccio.' Day 3: I was seated in a wide, supportive armchair. The chef personally presented a rich, slow-roasted 'Alpine Braised Shank.' Day 4: I lay back on a plush chaise lounge. I couldn't even use my cutlery anymore. The chef apologized, saying this course required his personal touch, and hand-fed me the delicate 'Fricassée of Palm.' Day 5: I was completely sunken into a deep velvet sofa, entirely immobile. The chef’s eyes were full of pity and adoration. Using a golden spoon, he gently fed me the final course: a thick, metallic 'Black Truffle Coeur Velouté.' Wiping my mouth, he leaned in and whispered, 'The tasting is complete. You may finally rest in peace.'
