The industrial meat grinder in the basement hasn't stopped whirring for three days. We are physically sick, gagging as we force down bite after bite, but Mom just smiles and places another steaming meat pie on the table. We are crying as we chew, but we can't stop. We have to finish the entire supply before the social worker visits tomorrow.
