Broke and desperate, I answered a bizarre classified ad: "Remote woodland commune seeks Spiritual Guide (Medium, Seer, or Astrologer). Must be male, perfectly healthy, with no scars or missing digits. $50,000 for one night." I bought a cheap deck of Tarot cards, figuring I'd fake a reading, take the cash, and run.
