Puzzle

On a desolate midnight highway, accompanied by deafening, throbbing bass, they began a joyous zig-zag dance. Desperate to keep up, he clung close behind, sprinting like a madman. His speed was unbelievable—his shoes flew off, his clothes tore into shreds, and he dragged a long, sickeningly bright red streak across the pavement. Seeing his 'persistence,' they excitedly twisted their bodies left and right, thoroughly enjoying this extreme tug-of-war. Exactly 91 seconds later, his life force gave out, and he collapsed silently on the road. They departed without a backward glance, yawning and grumbling impatiently: 'What a buzzkill. Finally shook off that sticky piece of trash.'
