Uninterrupted Descent

Security footage showed Jack stepping into an empty elevator on the top floor. The doors closed, and the carriage made a smooth, uninterrupted descent to the lobby. When the doors slid open three minutes later, his body tumbled out onto the marble floor, completely dead. A thick winter scarf was pulled taut around his neck, cutting so deeply it had crushed his windpipe. He was entirely alone for the entire ride, yet he was violently strangled to death.
